This module focuses on mental rotation, 3D visualisation, reference-feature tracking and spatial assembly. It is designed to make the underlying process easier to recognise, repeat and review before you add more speed or workload.

How the Academy version works

The question count is fixed at 24; difficulty instead reduces the time allowed from 12 minutes at Easy to 10 at Hard.
How scoring works
The result reflects performance in this Academy module. Accuracy is the main signal for decision tasks, while timing, missed targets, false responses or control error can also contribute where the task requires them. Assessment mode is more suitable for trend comparisons than adjustable practice runs.

Why this becomes difficult
- Rotation changes apparent orientation without changing internal relationships.
- Mirror images can look almost correct but cannot be produced by rotation alone.
- Assembly questions require several connections to be maintained simultaneously.
- Working memory becomes overloaded when every face is tracked at once.
Preparation tips
- Choose one distinctive dot, corner, notch or face as an anchor.
- Look for invariant relationships such as marked faces that remain adjacent.
- Eliminate mirror images before attempting exact mental rotation.
- Connect one labelled pair first and build outward.
- Rotate answer options toward a common reference instead of rotating the source differently for each.

- Tracking too many features at once.
- Rotating one face independently from the rest of the object.
- Joining matching labels while ignoring whether remaining faces overlap.
- Starting over from scratch for every answer choice.

- Net-to-cube and cube-to-net problems.
- Build small objects from paper or blocks, rotate them physically, then predict the next view.
