A repeatable practice method
Aptitude practice is most useful when it reveals a specific process to improve. Use this four-stage cycle instead of repeating full tests without changing how you approach them.
Start with an untimed or comfortable run. Record the type of error you make—misread rule, lost position, arithmetic slip or rushed response—not only the final percentage.
Train one component at a time. For example, practise 24-hour time arithmetic separately before combining it with route reading, or learn a stable scan pattern before adding speed.
Shorten the response window or raise task complexity only after accuracy is repeatable. Difficulty that causes random guessing produces less useful feedback.
Compare several sessions rather than chasing one high score. Brief, focused blocks with a clear correction goal are easier to evaluate than a long fatigued session.
Before you begin
No. Every exercise is independently developed and is intended to train underlying aptitude skills. Screens, timing, scoring and questions may differ from an official RAF, CFAST or Australian assessment.
No. Useful preparation builds a method you can apply to unfamiliar material: a consistent scan, reliable mental arithmetic, controlled tracking or a compact way to update working memory.
Treat them as practice feedback. They can highlight relative strengths and weak areas, but they are not official scores, selection predictions or guarantees.
Most reasoning and attention exercises use a keyboard or mouse. A compatible joystick, gamepad or pedals can make psychomotor practice more specific, but calibration matters more than expensive hardware.
